Kési (pronounced ‘Casey’ – she/her) is a writer and full-spectrum doula from Acworth, GA. Through storytelling, her goal is to learn how to best leverage digital platforms to tell impactful stories that translate to lasting communities in real life.
She approaches her work through the lens of the "sociological imagination," which explores – in the words of the Combahee River Collective – how “the personal is political.” Through this lens, Kési aims to leverage media content to illuminate how we connect our daily experiences to broader social issues and how those same social issues impact our inner worlds and overall capacity for self-actualization. That said, her passion for exploring Black history and culture through writing challenges her to better incorporate storytelling into how she shows up in community – in what she contributes professionally and how she navigates it personally.
LET’S WORK TOGETHER
Through Better to Speak, I offer content strategy and implementation services for emerging Black social advocacy leaders and organizations working to make an impact in their community.
